How long is the live session?

Each session is around 55 minutes (of absolute joy) long.

What do I need?

A Pilates mat is ideal, as it provides cushioning to protect your joints, as well as an anti-slip surface. But a non-slip rug, or carpet will also do. Your surface needs to be flat and you need ample space to move about without causing injury to yourself, so please be sure you have adequate space around your mat, and above your head when standing. Bare feet or Pilates / yoga grip socks are also necessary to avoid slipping.

Do I need Pilates exercise props?

If you have a resistance band, or a small Pilates ball, then great. If not, a small pillow or cushion, and a dressing-gown belt will come in very handy! All will become clear during the session…! Please see the Health & Safety footnote below**

Once I’ve bought the class, how do I watch it?

Good question! Simply navigate back to the live schedule, log in to your account, and scroll down to see the upcoming classes. Any classes you’ve bought will show as ‘Purchased’. Click on those when the class is due to start to see the live stream. It’s important to note that if you’re a bit too early (you eager beaver, you!), you’ll see a holding notice. Please remember to REFRESH THE PAGE to see the live stream from up to 2 minutes before it begins.

What if I’m late to the class?

The no.1 rule here is don’t stress! Just head to the class schedule and join when you can. You’ll join the stream live, but you have the option to rewind a few minutes if you want to start from the beginning. The class will start with a warm up and mobilisation section, so starting from the beginning is by far your safest option.

Can I pause the live stream?

Indeed you can!

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing, such as shorts/leggings and a t-shirt/vest-top. Something that you won’t feel hot in, and that allows you to move. Bare feet or Pilates / yoga grip socks are also necessary to avoid slipping.

Can I replay a class?

You sure can! Navigate back to the class schedule, and you’ll have a very generous 6 days and 22 hours to take the class again. And again!

What if my health changes?

It’s important that you bear in mind any changes to your health, and judge your own suitability to partake in any class. I am not a medical practitioner, and you are responsible for your decision to exercise given to you by your doctor or relevant medial professional.

What qualifications do you hold?

I have level 3 Pilates Matwork, Pilates for Common Orthopaedic Conditions, Pilates for Pre and Post Natal Women, Reformer Pilates, and Pilates with Small Equipment qualifications.

** It is important to note that you alone are responsible for the maintenance and safety of your equipment, and ensuring a safe, and adequate, space in which to exercise. Inspect your equipment before every use for any wear or tear that could cause it to break and cause bodily injury. It is no longer recommended to maintain bands with talc.
